Boiling Water a la Cooks Illustrated

Ever since Marta bought me the Cooks Illustrated cookbook ‘The Best Recipe’ for my birthday, I’ve been reading a lot of Cooks Illustrated. Made a really good french onion soup. Some vegetable enchiladas. An orange salad. So when I came across this mock recipe for boiling water a la Cooks Illustrated, I couldn’t stop laughing.
