Bellevue Natural-Birth Center, Haven for Poor Women, Closes
Bellevue’s natural-birth center “should be a model that the other city hospitals are looking to replicate,” said Elan McAllister, president of Choices in Childbirth, which is leading a petition drive to reopen the center. “And now, if you are uninsured and want that, I wouldn’t know where to send you.”
