Improved Adherence and Outcomes for Pediatric Liver Transplant Recipients by Using Text Messaging

This recent study in the Journal of Pediatrics shows that text message reminders may be an effective way to improve adherence with medication. I just ran into a friend of mine from nursing school who graduated as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She treats patients at St. John’s Center of New York, an independent community mental health center, managed by psychiatric nurse practitioners who focus on treating uninsured or underinsured individuals suffering from mental illness who are homeless or at risk for homelessness.

Feel free to refer to them, her name is Kate.
